Jaron's Story

Jaron Schlepp is a recent Olathe Northwest graduate and has joined the work force as a welder fabricator, working on heavy machinery, making furniture, and repairing metal items. Through the years, he has been involved with Troop 487, which meets weekly in the church building. He recently earned Eagle Scout rank and created a children's playground for the church for his Eagle project.

Jaron was baptized as a baby at Christ Community and is a familiar face. He struggled to navigate the spotlight of being a pastor's kid, but has found his place in the "rhythm" of the church, playing bass on the worship team and as a part of the building team. Worship in music has been key in Jaron's journey, and he recalls worship at the Nazarene Youth Conference in Phoenix in 2019 as particularly impactful.
