In Luke 14:7-14, we learn that those who exalt themselves will be humbled. Those who humble themselves will be exalted. Jesus invites us to humble ourselves to make room for the widow, the foreigner, the poor, and the oppressed.  ## Related Content [Sermons](https://www.cccolathe.org/blog/tag/sermons) [![Image of Pastor Scott](https://www.cccolathe.org/hubfs/FC5ABDDB-DC43-47E5-AA64-4B2D97C323D9_1_201_a.jpeg)](https://www.cccolathe.org/blog/author/scott) ##### [Pastor Scott](https://www.cccolathe.org/blog/author/scott) #### [Sanctity of the Ordinary | Friends](https://www.cccolathe.org/blog/sanctity-of-the-ordinary-friends) Pastor Scott preaches on the third mansion in Saint Teresa's book.
