The Changing Church | Week 1

UNITY | JANUARY 7

This is the first in a new series in I Corinthians: The Changing Church. Pastor Scott challenges the church to enter into political conversations in an election year, but to do so as peacemakers. The church of Corinth consisted of people with different backgrounds as Christ Community consists of people with different backgrounds. Paul encourages the church not to fight about whom to follow--Paul or Apollos--but to be united in Jesus as our foundation. Even when dates and geographic locations of the gathered church change, and its internal struggles and political landscape change, Paul's call to unity upon a foundation of Jesus Christ remains the same.
