God is Holy, but what does that mean? Isaiah's sermons (1:1, 10-20 and 5:1-11) give a clear illustration of holiness as he preaches to the people of Israel at the end of the 8th century BC. The nation is in chaos, threatened by Assyria and by internal injustices. God’s holiness is a powerful solution for such difficult circumstances.
